30. The Old Account Was Settled Long Ago

The life we live on earth, is in the book of heav’n, an old account is standing for sins yet unforgiv’n, Though God may long forbear, his judgment can't forego, so he ordained a Savior, and sent him long ago.

My own account was large, and growing ev'ry day, for I was always sinning, and I could never pay; But fearing what's ahead I asked where I might go, I heard about redemption provided long ago.

When at the judgment bar I stand before my King, and he the books will open, he will not find a thing.  The pages of my life are now as white as snow, and all because of Jesus who settled long ago.
