2. Jesus, Full Of All Compassion
Jesus full of all compassion, hear an humble sinner's cry. Let me see thy great salvation, or in dark despair I die.
2.
Guilty, but with heart relenting, overwhelmed with helpless grief, Prostrate at thy feet repenting, send, O send me quick relief.
3.
Whither should a wretch be flying, but to him who comfort gives? Whither from the dread of dying, but to him who ever lives?
4.
While I view thee wounded, grieving, breathless on the cursed tree, My sad heart would hope, believing, that thou suffer'dst thus for me.
5.
Risen now, thou liv'st forever, liv'st o'er earth and heav'n to reign; Promising the humble never shall for mercy plead in vain.
6.
Hear then, gracious Savior, hear me, my soul cleaveth to the dust; Send the Comforter to cheer me, Lo! in thee I put my trust!
