167 – Holy Spirit Now Outpoured

Holy Spirit now out-poured, Sent by our ascended Lord, Bless our gathering here today, Be our hallowed Guest, we pray.

Fill each heart and reign alone, Break the idols we have known, Lead us to confession true, Give us strength they will to do.

3.

Guide unto all truth, we plead, Light the Holy Page we read; Write its precepts deep within, Till we’re kept from every sin.

4.

May Thy quickening power we feel – Human doubt and weakness heal; May Thy presence, like a fire, Burn within -- our zeal inspire.
